A New Rhythm this Week: Community

Well, it's been a while. We hate we weren't able to have worship last Sunday because of the storm, but we're back this week!

We're right in the middle of our series on spiritual rhythms that have the potential to change your life in 2019. Each sermon stands on its own, so even if you missed a week, you won't have any problem hopping right in on this Sunday. Of course, we keep all our sermons on the website if you'd like to go back and listen.

Ironically we're switching up the rhythm this Sunday. I'm really excited to welcome Pastor Jan Vezikov to preach (It's pronounced “yahn,” as in “never beyond grace” or “yarn” with a Boston accent). If you don't know Pastor Jan, he is the lead pastor at Mosaic Boston: Brookline and one of the biggest reasons our family is in Boston. Without his godly vision and leadership, we may not have started a church in Jamaica Plain.

Jan, moved to Boston in July, 2009 with his family to plant a church. He was born in Estonia, but grew up in the great state of Rhode Island. He graduated with a triple major in International Relations, Business Economics, and Slavic Studies from Brown University, in Providence, RI. After working a couple years as an analyst, Jan devoted several years to studying theology and the Scriptures. In May 2009, he graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree, focusing in Advanced Biblical studies. He holds a ThM degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary. Basically, he has more degrees than a thermometer. But most importantly, Jan incredible man of God that loves Jesus, his beautiful wife Tanya, and their four daughters Sophia, Elizabeth, Ekaterina, and Milana.

I've gotten a chance to read through the message for tomorrow. You don't want to miss it! Join us for worship and listen to Pastor Jan's powerful word on community.
