Our History

The original Mosaic Boston Brookline was planted in October, 2011 by Pastor Jan Vezikov and a talented core group of people who love God and Boston. In 2016 Mosaic desired to plant a new church in Boston. Pastor Ivey Rhodes and an amazing team started Mosaic Boston Jamaica Plain October 1, 2017. Mosaic Boston is a family of churches in Brookline and Jamaica Plain motivated by a deep passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for urban renewal by the power of the Gospel. We truly believe God is up to something huge in the city of Boston and we’re so thrilled to be a small part of it.

As a young church in Boston, we have a lot to learn and a long way to go. Though we aren’t where we were, we aren’t where we need to be, but we’re moving there by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you’re looking for a church in Boston, why would you choose Mosaic? Well, first of all, if you’re looking for a church in Boston, that’s great! Boston has many church buildings, but unfortunately few healthy, Gospel-proclaiming churches. We long to be part of the revival God is sending to Boston, through the planting of new churches in Boston. Scripture teaches that God is a missionary God, on mission to reconcile humanity with himself. As the Father sent Jesus into the World, Jesus sent us to Boston to plant a new church in Jamaica Plain.
